Their difficult experience was due to a government committed to exterminate religion from their society. In the USA, we are undermining the moral and spiritual foundations of our society by our disinterest and ignorance. We have only ourselves to blame!JB's Reflectionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08619190672370480856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3730990869543005110.post-7920506453193693692011-12-01T12:59:54.643-05:002011-12-01T12:59:54.643-05:00This is a timely post, for we see the failure of s...This is a timely post, for we see the failure of so many of our institutions in the United States as a consequence of collapsing moral and spiritual foundations. I am reminded of McLean and Nocera's book All the Devils Are Here which reflects the abandonment of ethics in business transactions and the erosion of trust which comes as a consequence. When we permit the moral and spiritual foundations of a society to be destroyed, we should only expect to reap the whirlwind. And rebuilding those foundations, though critical, is never an easy task.

Thanks for pointing out this glaring omission, an omission which may well stem from the destruction of our own moral and spiritual foundations!Larry Ort, Ph.
